We discussed what to do in a first aid situation and how to make a 999 call.

We also practiced putting each other in the recovery position

Big Brownie Birthday Challenge

First aid week this week. The brownies made fake cuts and burns on themselves, (using a synthetic skin make up of a small amount of petroleum jelly, cornflour and cocoa powder squidged up in a plastic bag, and some water and red food colouring as blood) and learnt how to treat them.

  

We learnt that the first thing to do is to stay calm. We also had a go at bandaging our injuries and running our ‘burns’ under cold water.
